Update on Nakash Possibly Fighting Gunn

In an interview with Lorne Scroggins of 8CN Boxing, Bobby Gunn reiterates that his team is in negotiations with fellow cruiserweight Ran Nakash. According to Gunn, "They're talking about putting it in July on ESPN."

Gunn is 21-4-1 with 18 KOs. He said of Nakash, "He's somebody that's just tailor-made for me personally. He's never been battletested yet, like I have."

But before any potential bout with Gunn, Nakash has work to do this Saturday in Norfolk, Virginia against Richard Stewart (14-8-2, 8 KOs). Nakash is undefeated with 22 wins and 16 KOs.

Kedem Wins on Points

Eilon Kedem defeated Pedro Antonio Salcedo by unanimous decision earlier tonight. One judge had Kedem sweeping all six rounds, another gave Kedem five rounds, and the final judge counted four for Kedem. The boxer from Herzelia, Israel improves to 11-3-4 with 7 KOs. Salcedo falls to 3-3 with 2 KOs.

Kedem is still slated to fight in three weeks on April 15 at Roseland Ballroom in New York. He's scheduled to take on Elton Dharry (2-5-1, 0 KOs). Dharry, who has never won outside of his native Guyana, is suppose to fight tomorrow as well, so take this pairing with a grain of salt. For now, it'll be a six round bout at junior featherweight.

New Opponent for Kedem

Eilon Kedem won't be staring at his original opponent, Luis Angel Paneto, when he enters the ring tomorrow, March 25, at Schuetzen Park in North Bergen, New Jersey. Instead, Kedem's opponent is now scheduled to be Pedro Antonio Salcedo (3-2, 2 KOs).

This will be Salcedo's first fight outside of his native Puerto Rico. Kedem (10-3-4, 7 KOs) hopes to rebound from a knockout loss last November. Both fighters weighed in at 122 pounds. The junior featherweight bout is penciled in for six rounds.
