Nakash-Gunn Set

Ran Nakash's long awaited tussle with Bobby Gunn is scheduled to take place on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at Harrah's in Chester, Pennsylvania. Nakash is 25-0 with 18 knockouts. The Israeli has a long history of fighting in Pennsylvania. Gunn is 21-4-1 with 18 KOs. The Celtic Warrior is from nearby New Jersey.

Nakash has faced the weaker competition of the two. Gunn lost to former WBO cruiserweight champ Enzo Maccarinelli inside of a round in 2007. He was defeated by The Ring cruiserweight champion Tomasz Adamek in July of 2009 by way of fourth round stoppage. But Nakash has been far more active recently. He won four times in 2010. Gunn hasn't entered the ring since the Adamek loss. He last won in February of 2009.

Gunn has actively pursued the fight publicly since last February. Nakash has been outspoken about wanting to do the fight as well. The bout is scheduled for 12 rounds.
