Max Heyman won a six-round unanimous decision over Roy Ashworth last night at the Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Heyman, 30, swept every round on all three judges' scorecards. All three scored the fight the same, 60-52. Heyman improved his record to 23-10-4, knocking out 13 of his opponents. Ashworth fell to 5-7 with one KO.
For the fight, Heyman weighed in at 190, the heaviest of his career. It was his first bout at cruiserweight. Ashworth weighed in at 185. Heyman earned the victory after coming off of a nearly three year layoff.
